Traditional Ludowici Applications often featured clay tile roofing with shingle style tiles cladding associated dormer walls.  Modern expressions of that concept have expended the uses of other tile styles in vertical rainscreen or direct to sheathing applications.  Michael Graves Architecture and Design captured Ludowici custom capabilities in two great projects –

Working closely with the MGA&D design team Ludowici worked from provided color swatches to develop five custom high gloss colors to create a playful and colorful entrance to this school for students with intellectual and multiple disabilities and autism.

Ludowici was able to resolve a number of difficult design challenges provided by the MGD&A team.  Foremost was the promise of tile that would be “the color of money” in high gloss!  Vertical, curved and traditional steep pitched roof applications were complimented by intricate and custom soffit tiles.

Granum a/I, Radnor, PA designed this retail space for Brandywine Realty Trust using sophisticated yet simple and interesting materials.  Ludowici tile was used on all of the fascia areas.
